What does BopoTaco Pro unlock?

Pro is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks TBCL levels 3–7 — 1,416 more character and word lessons — along with dictation mode, the three- and five-minute timed tests, and the full statistics.

Free without it: every lesson for all 37 bopomofo symbols, the All Symbols drill, the one-minute timed test, TBCL levels 1–2 of the character and word courses (101 lessons), and part of the statistics.

I bought Pro but it is locked on my new device

Open Settings → Restore Purchases in the app, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. Nothing is stored on our side, so the restore goes through Apple.

Can my family use my purchase?

Yes. Pro supports Family Sharing. Anyone in your Family Sharing group can use Restore Purchases on their own device.

Does my practice history move to a new device?

No. Statistics, lesson progress and practice history live on the device only — there is no account and no cloud sync, which is the same reason the app collects nothing about you. A new phone starts the statistics from zero. The Pro unlock does carry over, through Apple.

How do I clear my data?

In Settings: Reset Statistics clears the per-symbol accuracy data, and Reset Records clears your practice history and personal bests. Deleting the app removes everything.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Lessons, dictionary content and pronunciation audio are bundled with the app and work entirely offline. Only the purchase itself goes through Apple.

Can I type with a hardware keyboard?

Yes. A connected hardware keyboard works throughout the app. The on-screen keys follow the Taiwan-standard zhuyin layout, so the positions you learn here carry straight over to a physical keyboard.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.

Where does the dictionary content come from?

Characters, words and their definitions are reproduced verbatim from the Taiwan Ministry of Education dictionary 《國語辭典簡編本》(2014) under the CC BY-ND 3.0 TW licence. Levels 1–7 follow the Taiwan Benchmarks for the Chinese Language (TBCL), National Academy for Educational Research. The same attribution is in the app under Settings → Data Sources & Licenses.
